Step1: (Webbing Tool) Preliminary Investigation: What do you know about stomata?
To recall what students learned in elementary school, take two minutes to write it down like brainstorming on a webbing sheet.

Step2: (Shared Notes) Observation of Stomata: Collection of phtos of stomata of various plants
Make replicas of the stomata of 8 different plants using nail polish and cellophane tape and observe them under a microscope.
Photographs taken will be pasted in the Shared Note.
One species was observed by peeling off the epidermis of a leaf.
Each student will watch a YouTube video on their own to see how to observe.

Step3: (Analysis Chart) Organizing Observations: Compare photos and organize information
Compare the raw epidermis with the replica epidermis and submit "what the stomata look like," "what you found out," and "what you think," and then look at the submissions together.

Step4: Summary: Organize the function and structure of Stomata
The YouTube video will help students understand how stomata are made and how it works.
The mechanism of opening and closing will also be explained.

Comment from the teacher
In Shared Note, I made a frame for each type of microscopic photo on the base paper where I pasted them, and the students naturally tried to fill in all of them.
I was impressed that the students were happily choosing which plant stomata to observe next.
